About Us

Our Story

ā€‹ Our local church body began as Buffalo Community Assembly of God in the community in 1972. We are currently in our second building since the church began and are excited about what God wants to do in the people and communities surrounding Buffalo. In 2024 the church voted to change its name to Hope Community.

What you believe matters because it shapes who you are and how you live your life.

ā€‹ ā€‹ We are an Assembly of God Church and ascribe to our Pentecostal Doctrine. The Assemblies of God was founded in 1914 in Hot Springs, Arkansas with 300 people at the founding convention. Today there are more than 13,000 churches in the United States with over 3 million members and adherents. There are more than 67 million Assemblies of God members worldwide, making the Assemblies of God the world's largest Pentecostal denomination. Our Core Values

At Hope Community, we are passionate about reaching those around us and providing a community of believers where all are welcome to worship alongside us. We want to provide spiritual help to all those who are seeking so that they can be filled to help others find Jesus and His plan for their lives. We are thankful for the Word of God and how it shapes who we are!

Spirit-Led Living

We are Pentecostal people led by the Holy Spirit in our everyday lives to honor Him and bless those around us. (Romans 8:14, 1 Chronicles 12:32b, & Acts 2:4; 6:3-4)

Intentional Discipleship

We strive to help people become more like Jesus through multi-generational connections, consistent relationships, and Biblical teaching. (Matthew 28:19-20, 2 Timothy 2:15, Titus 2:1-8, & 1 Peter 3:15)

Loving our Community

We actively invest locally by serving and blessing our communities. (2 Corinthians 9:6-9, Acts 1:8, Romans 15:13, & 1 John 4:21)

Kingdom Building Missions

We generously give and go to share the life changing message of the Good News of Jesus. (Isaiah 6:8, 1 Chronicles 16:24, Romans 10:13-15, & Revelation 7:9-10)

Hope for the Next Generation

We have an unwavering desire for kids and youth in this area to recognize their value and become who they were made to be in Jesus. (Psalm 78:4-7, Mark 10:13-16, Deuteronomy 6:4-9 & Ephesians 2:10)

Being Real

We welcome everyone where they are at and want them to experience the life-changing love of Jesus. (Ephesians 4:32, Romans 12:9-10, Matthew 11:28, & 2 Corinthians 5:17)
